What is a fat quarter?
A fat quarter is a 1/4 metre cut size of fabric. Unless otherwise stated most of our fabrics measure 110cm (44”) width, cutting half a metre from the bolt and then cutting along the fold creates a fat quarter measuring 55cm x 50cm (22”x20”).

How do you supply your fabric?
Our fabric is sold by metric units of 1/4 metre. Please refer to the table below to help with fabric ordering. Multiple units of one design will be sent as a continuous piece.

1 Unit = 55cm wide x 50cm long

2 Units = 110cm wide x 50cm long

3 Units = 110cm wide x 75cm long

4 Units = 110cm wide x 100cm long

5 Units = 110cm wide x 125cm long

6 Units = 110cm wide x 150cm long

8 Units = 110cm wide x 200cm long

What are your postage costs?

We offer a highly competitive tariff for our customers’ as we understand how important it is to have fair postage costs.

UK: £2.99 for orders over £10.00

EUROPE: £4.99

INTERNATIONAL: £8.99

When will I receive my fabric?

We despatch our orders within 24 hours, via 1^st class Royal Mail aimed to be delivered within 1-2 working days.

European orders aim to be delivered by 3-10 working days, outside Europe 7-21 days.

Do you accept international orders?

Yes, we certainly do. We’re very happy about our international customers and try to offer the most reasonable shipping rates possible. In the checkout process you will be able to select your country and view the options available to you. Please note, Sew and Quilt are not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred.

What is your return policy?

We make every effort to provide full details and accurate images for all of our products. In the unlikely event you are unhappy with your purchase unused orders may be returned within 7 days of receipt for a refund. Once we receive the returned item(s) the charges will be credited to you (though all shipping costs are non-refundable). Used, opened, and/or final sale items cannot be returned.
