Karen Cunningham was born in England and moved to Australia with her family in 1972. Her work is inspired by both the British gardens she enjoyed as a child and the Australian Blue Mountains that she now calls home. Karen's debut title 'A Ladies’ Garden' aims to bring a sumptuous garden into your home with 15 beautiful quilting projects. Karen has a knack for combining appliqué with pieced blocks in such an elegant way, whether it be as a centrepiece for her quilts or to adorn her organic and wavy borders. English Paper Piecing is one of her recurring techniques and her book includes an entire chapter dedicated to this technique.
