11/01/21 Update: Orders are being processed approximately the next working day after placing the order.
EU customers are experiencing further delays due to new EU/Brexit rules coming into effect 1st January - currently our website still applies VAT to all EU orders when checking our through the website, however we are manually updating orders to apply VAT free pricing and refunding the difference to the original card used at the checkout.

04/01/21 Update: Orders are being processed in order of receiving from Christmas Eve, due to us being closed for the 3 working days over Christmas (weekends and bank holidays are not counted as working days), please understand the delay in dispatching your order as quickly and safely as we can. We thank you for not calling/emailing to chase individual orders as this ultimately slows us down more.

15/07/20 Update: Orders are being processed more or less on schedule, dispatched approximately the following day upon placing the order. We are now accepting 'Collect from store' option at the checkout (to collect the following day after 12 noon, please call us to advise on time of collection).
11/05/20 Update: Orders are now being processed in date order, limited to 1 person processing the orders. We are working hard to dispatch orders as soon as possible. Approx 3-4 working-day lead-time to dispatch (based on in-stock items).
01/04/20 Update: New orders placed after 12PM GMT Friday 1st May are being paused for processing until Monday 11th May. We are taking a break for personal reasons (unrelated to Covid-19). Orders will be dispatched in order of receiving. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Sew & Quilt remains open for business. We are following government guidelines and safe working practices set out by Public Health England. Due to current distancing measures and our premise size we are a staff of 2 people, with increased workload dispatching orders is currently delayed approximately 2-4 working days. Royal Mail are in operation but some services may be disrupted, which is out of our control.
We are continuing to work very hard to deliver your orders as quickly and safely as possible in these unprecedented times, but please understand your order wil take longer to arrive for these reasons. Please be aware Block of the Month clubs will also take longer to receive for the same reasons.
We cannot accept collect from store pickups at this time, as this would not be considered essential travel by the current UK government guidelines. As guidelines change, we will update this.
Emails and Questions
We are responding to emails as quickly as we can. We will prioritise urgent order related emails first, all general queries and non-urgent requests will be dealt with in order of receiving at our earliest convenience.
Please note we send out an automated email 'Your Order is on it's Way' when your order has been dispatched. You can also check in your account, if your order has a 'completed' status that means it has been dispatched. Orders with a 'pending' status means we have not yet dispatched it.
For international customers, and some higher value UK customers, you will also receive a separate tracking email, please use this to follow the status of your order.
Please check your spam/junk folder if you did not receive them, they are automated so some mailbox providers treat them as junk.
Block of the Month Clubs
Due to the same reasons provided above, our usual schedule of dispatching BOM kits 4 working days after the payment date will be delayed. Please be aware we are working extremely hard to process these each month and get them to you as quickly and safely as possible.
Any Block of the Month club fabric shortages, please send an email and we will include them in your next box.
Any Block of the Month questions for miss-cuts, please look to see if we have the fabric available on our website to purchase online.
We are taking telephone orders as normal, please note it is much quicker for us to process a website order so we ask if you are able, an order placed through the website would be preferred at this time. If we are unable to answer the phone, please leave a message with your name and telephone number for us to call you back when we can.
Out of Stock
A great deal of our products are produced by us in-house, including kits and paper pieces, which are labour-intensive. While we have a good stock of some paper pieces made up, some will have to be cut to order which may result in your order being delayed. If a product is showing as out of stock, please enter your email address to be notified on when it's back in stock and we will work to get these back as soon as we can.
