The Curated Floral collection explores details and nuances of flowers and botanicals and positions the flower as an artwork in its own right: mother nature’s perfect creation, taking inspiration from the prints of the Liberty archive and makes them anew.
Liberty roll widths are larger compared with regular quilting cottons. One Liberty fat quarter (1/4m unit) measures 68cm x 50cm / 26" x 19".
Babingdon was reworked from a swatch in the Liberty archive dating from 1937, originally named 'Clover'. The design was chosen for its resemblance to specific plant and flower species which are either vulnerable or critically endangered in the UK.
